A gal, two guys, another guy on piano, and a whole lotta smooth and snazzy songs.

A gal, two guys, another guy on piano, and a whole lotta smooth and snazzy songs.

What did we do?

Sing! Crack wise! Laugh! Repeat!

Basically it was a night of toe-tapping, hand-clapping, slightly jazzified and completely awesomized music from a quartet of seasoned performers (plus one very special mystery musical guest). It was a throwback to the Rat Pack days with plenty of stories shared and good-natured ribbing amongst the performers– and occasionally the crowd!

Jayson Albright, Jerry Johnson, Doug Nicholson, Rachel Roettger, and special guest percussionist Steve Schepper performed songs old and new, and even threw in a dash of original songs, including a couple that made their debut at the performance! We hope to share some clips soon, but in the meantime here’s a look at the set list:

Our Opening Song, Mashup: I Get a Kick Out of You/Kick in the Head, Right Hand Man, You’re No Good, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Mashup: Moondance and Fever, Obladi Oblada, I Hope That Something Better Comes Along, What I Do (The Lemonade Song), Saturday in the Park, The Rhyming Song, Let’s Get It Going, Tiny Dancer, Steam Heat, Song of a Preacher Man, I’ve Been Meaning to Tell You, Medley: People/Make Someone Happy, Sunday Morning, Medley: Old Friends/Anything You Can Do/You’re The Top/Together Wherever We Go, Crocodile Rock, Promo Reprise, and Piano Man (featuring a third verse written on the spot by Jay to include an audience member!)

A really fun night we hope to replicate in the future!
